Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, a sophisticated perfumer known for his fragrances that convey an intense and often sensual aura, is also a respected scientist. His doctoral thesis was devoted to a new technique for analyzing extracts from fragrant plants. He investigated how plants produce their scents and release different aromas depending on their flowering cycle. Over the years, he has developed a passion for precious natural raw materials and their cultural history.
Born in Morocco and of Corsican origin, Corticchiato spent part of his childhood on his parents' citrus fruit plantations in Morocco and another part in the Corsican maquis in the village of Cuttoli Corticchiato, in his family home. After completing his doctorate, he trained at the prestigious École Internationale de Parfumerie de Versailles (ISIPCA) perfumery school.
After years of research, he joined a perfume laboratory in Paris, where he was able to give free rein to his creativity before founding his own brand, Parfum d'Empire.
Nevertheless, he continues to create fragrances for other brands that inspire him.
