ATHENEAN is a fragrance that captures the fig season in the Mediterranean, particularly in Greece where the fig has been revered for centuries. In Greek mythology, it is said that the first fig tree was created when the rebellious Syceus was transformed into a fig tree by his mother Gaia, the goddess of the earth, to protect him from the wrath of Zeus. "ATHENEAN" is a redesign of the fragrance "Figuier". It combines green leaves, galbanum, fig and white tea into a harmonious composition.

The fresh and green notes of the fig are accompanied by the spicy and slightly resinous note of the galbanum, while the white tea adds a subtle elegance and freshness. Galbanum is an aromatic resinous substance obtained from various species of Ferula plants, particularly Ferula gummosa and Ferula galbaniflua. These plants belong to the Umbelliferae family and are mainly native to the Middle East and Central Asia. The resin of galbanum is obtained by cutting the stems of the plant, resulting in a milky substance that hardens into a solid resinous mass upon contact with air. 

Galbanum has a characteristic fresh, green and slightly resinous scent with balsamic undertones. Galbanum gives perfumes a certain freshness and vitality. The fine and bright, almost powdery composition suggests a gentle and elegant texture that accompanies the fragrance. The milky facets of the fig gradually reveal themselves, giving the fragrance an airy and light quality with a hint of sweetness and freshness, reminiscent of a ripe melon.

A hint of the aromas of white tea bring an aquatic touch to the creation, which is not like a sea breeze, but rather reminiscent of the refreshing and subtle watery nuances that give the fragrance a flowing lightness. The tea also enhances the greenish hue of the scent, adding another dimension of freshness. The base notes of musk and sandalwood complete the fragrance and give it a warm and sensual dimension. Overall, "ATHENEAN" is a tribute to the rich tradition and natural beauty of Greece, captured in an exquisite scent.
