For the Master Collection, a fragrance has been created that captures the richness of vanilla and brings out its many facets. This creation is based on a vanilla pod of exceptional quality, whose finest nuances have been highlighted. Cultivated in the heart of the Indian Ocean, the Bourbon vanilla used is obtained by CO2 extraction. This cold extraction method brings out the full range of its sweet, floral, dry and spicy aromas. The astringent character of vanilla is intensified by saffron, while the addictive nature of tonka bean is enhanced.

CO2 extraction is a modern method of extracting fragrances from plant material, used mainly in perfumery and aromatherapy. This method uses carbon dioxide in an overcritical state, i.e. the CO2 is in a state between gaseous and liquid at a certain temperature and under high pressure. In this overcritical state, CO2 has both gas-like and liquid-like properties, making it a very efficient solvent. In perfumery, CO2 extraction is used to extract essential oils and other aromatic compounds from flowers, fruits, woods and resins. The fragrances obtained by CO2 extraction are often more complex and nuanced than those obtained by traditional methods such as steam destillation or solvent extraction. This allows the creation of fragrances with exceptional depth and a very natural olfactory note. Thanks to this technique, perfumers have access to a wider range of aromas and can create innovative fragrances that capture the most subtle nuances of nature.

The head notes include safran oil and an ananas accord. The heart notes are made up of oliban resin, essential oil of oliban and absolute of tonka beans. The base is formed by CO2-extracted vanilla pod extract and moschus.

Dominique Ropion is the "nose" of Laboratorio Olfattivo's VANAGLORIA Eau de Parfum. Dominique Ropion is undoubtedly a fascinating master perfumer with a unique perspective on his impressive career and boundless passion. Although he had not originally planned to become a perfumer, he eventually found his calling in the world of fragrance.  It was only by chance that he became a perfumer when another student dropped out of perfumery school and was offered the job instead. Before accepting, he asked to meet some perfumers to get an idea of the profession. He spoke to Jean Amic, Jean Louis Sieuzac and Pierre Bourdon. "Normally, I take months to decide, but I said to myself: Why not? I moved to Grasse for three years and then returned to Paris to complete my training".

The revelation of his passion for the art of perfume composition and his quest for formal olfactory aesthetics make Dominique Ropion a unique master in his field. His dreams, his search for truth and his appreciation of encounters that reveal a different way of thinking make him an artist who creates not only fragrances, but also stories, emotions and connections between people. Dominique is considered by his peers to be a great talent, if not the best master perfumer of our time, but he openly admits that there is nothing particularly remarkable about his career and that perfumery was not his calling: "It took me a long time. It took me a long time to realise that I wanted to be a perfumer.
