Inspired by his love for Italy, Jean-Claude Ellena has created a collection of Parfum Cologne fragrances that are portraits of Italian happiness. Mandarino, Limone, Bergamotto, Arancia Rossa and Pompelmo are the fragrances in the "Viaggio in Italia" collection, a journey to Italy, fragrances that are like sunshine in winter. POMPELMO has brought to an end my olfactory journey inspired by Italian citrus fruits. Originally from Asia, where it was considered a sacred fruit offered to the gods, the grapefruit, like most citrus fruits, first appeared in Spain in the XII-XIII centuries. Century in Spain, in Sevilla, during the Arab domination. Probably one of the most magnificent citrus fruits, I appreciate grapefruit especially for its bitter taste. Unlike sweet scents, which I find obvious and uninspiring, bitterness is, in my opinion, one of the most distinctive scents.

This may be the result of my Italian origins, where several drinks celebrate bitterness. To make Pompelmo a unique and different fragrance, I worked on both the lively and acidic freshness of the grapefruit and on its bitter notes. - Jean-Claude Ellena
