Behind the Fragrance
Xerjoff - ALLENDE - SHOOTING STARS - Eau de Parfum
An exceptionally potent blend, as rare as the meteorite that inspired this fragrance. The allende meteorite, a stony celestial body, graced Earth's atmosphere over Mexico on the early morning of February 8, 1969 and its fragments descended near the Mexican city of Pueblito de Allende. Xerjoff's ALLENDE fragrance is a captivating symphony, centered on magnolia aromas with a keen focus on its heart notes. The exceptionally precious real vanilla from Madagascar envelops the entire composition like a comforting, warming breeze. Madagascar vanilla enjoys global renowned for its exceptional quality and distinctive fragrance. The aroma of Madagascar vanilla is a delightful blend of richness, sweetness, creaminess and spiciness. It emanates a warm, inviting ambiance with subtle undertones of caramel, chocolate and wood. Madagascar vanilla beans house an array of aromas and essential oils, contributing to a scent with unique depth and complexity. The drydown of ALLENDE by XERJOFF unveils a soft, creamy vanilla and floral note. Combined with the enchanting scent of magnolia – floral, fresh and delicately sweet – a hint of spicy freshness emerges. Irresistible!
In 1947, an impressive meteor shower occurred in the vastness of Eastern Siberia, away from the majestic foothills of the Sikhote-Alin Mountains. On the morning of 12 February 1947, a large meteorite exploded in the Earth's atmosphere and broke up into numerous fragments, which rained down over an extensive area in the Primorye region. This cosmic event, which has always fascinated people, served as the inspiration for the extraordinary "SHOOTING STARS" collection from XERJOFF. Every single fragrance in this exquisite collection has been carefully selected to reflect the unique magic of this cosmic spectacle. The Sikhote-Alin meteorite was one of the largest observed meteorite falls in history. The meteorite entered the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of about 14 km/s and broke up at an altitude of about 23 km. The largest fragmentation occurred at an altitude of 5.6 kilometres. The total mass of the meteorite is estimated at about 70 tonnes, and the largest mass found weighed about 1,745 kg. The impact created numerous craters, the largest of which had a diameter of around 26 metres.
In a loving gesture of connection between heaven and earth, each gift box in XERJOFF's SHOOTING STARS collection comes with a genuine, certified meteorite fragment from that historic event. This authentic piece of the heavens is included with the XERJOFF perfume itself, not only to offer the wearer an olfactory delight, but also to convey a pinch of cosmic energy and happiness.
