The scent

DER DUFT was founded in 2020 by Anselm Skogstad, an artist and photojournalist from Munich who developed a deep love for scents that dates back to his childhood days.

He was already interested in scents and began collecting perfumes in his youth. The combination of olfactory and aesthetic beauty fascinated him again and again. The passion for scents was further fueled by a friend in Hong Kong, who motivated Anselm to explore a new artistic field through the inspiringly exciting surroundings and exotic Asian scents. During a stay in Grasse he gained a deeper insight into the conception and production of perfumes.

As a result, Anselm Skogstad began creating his own line of timeless and modern fragrances a little later under the name DER DUFT. The brand is characterized by the presentation of selected perfumers from all over the world, each of whom reflects their own style in the creations for DER DUFT.

DER DUFT strives to unite a diversity of talents and personalities, with each perfumer telling individual personal stories in the scent compositions they create. The selection of perfumers does not follow fixed rules, but is based on sympathy and shared curiosity. The result is a modern creation of timeless scents that are shaped by personal associations such as memories, dreams and wishes and touch emotionally.
