Behind the Fragrance
Jorum Studio MONOLITH Extrait de Parfum
Limited edition - 180 flacons
MONOLITH, extraordinary, provocative, pushes the boundaries of classic perfumery. Its impressive blend of smoky, resinous, spicy and earthy notes takes us on a journey into deep forests, mystical ceremonies and warm, dark rooms. A mysterious fragrance, powerful and unique in each of its phases.
The journey begins with a powerful, smoky peat note. This is very dominant at the beginning and only gives way hesitantly. The smoky note is carried by oud, cade and labdanum. Spicy notes of juniper, aniseed, black pepper and clary sage emerge tentatively.
Elemi resin steers the fragrance in a mystical, almost spiritual direction with its citrusy, resinous note, which is enhanced by frankincense, cardamom and myrrh. It evokes images of ancient temples and rituals. The stable foundation of MONOLITH consists of oakmoss and castoreum, which give the fragrance a hint of warmth and sweetness.
MONOLITH is a dark, smoky, resinous, woody, and in traces green masterpiece by Euan McCall around the natural and raw theme of peat. A fragrance like a monolith.
Jorum Studio - MONOLITH - Extrait de Parfum is limited to 180 bottles and is available from us in limited quantities.
MONOLITH is based on the extrait de parfum PSYCHOTERRATICA III from 2020. This sophisticated fragrance sold out in a very short time. The high demand led to the limited reissue as MONOLITH in 2024. The chance to experience the fragrance once again.
It is unlikely to be included in the permanent collection, as it is very controversial and demanding, as well as being time-consuming and exceptionally expensive to produce.
