Behind the Fragrance
Mortal Skin by Stéphane Humbert Lucas – La Collection Serpent – Snake Collection
Mortal Skin, inspired by the art of seduction, envisions the serpent's pursuit of its prey in three captivating acts. The snake, elegantly depicted on the bottle, exudes charm, mystery and majesty as it approaches its victim, captivating with its diamond eyes and breathtaking charisma. The narrative unfolds with desire awakening, danger drawing near and seduction commencing. The snake swiftly rears up to strike, releasing its black venom—a combination of suffocating heat and icy cold that paralyzes its prey.
Captivating and addictive, escape becomes an impossibility;
Mortal Skin by Stephane Humbert Lucas holds its audience under its spell. A jet of black ink blended with incense creates an uplifting, hypnotic aura. A delicate balance between the desire for freedom and the allure of conviction is established. Blackberry and saffron accentuate the cardamom aromas, adding layers of complexity. Surrounded by myrrh and smooth, glossy leather on the brink of consent, the body freezes and the mind begins to wander. The bite, as if a burst of knowledge, slides in gently and multiplies, with translucent sandalwood extending its influence over the chosen soul.
Amber and musk, metaphorical elements of both crime and love, merge to create a sublime transformation. Labdanum, an aromatic resin obtained from certain cistus plants in the Mediterranean region, plays a crucial role. Traditionally collected through a process called "scraping", labdanum has a rich, warm and balsamic scent with sweet, earthy and woody notes. Today, labdanum is mainly obtained through solvent extraction or steam distillation, contributing to perfumes with its deep, oriental warmth and a touch of animalic nuance.
