Behind the Fragrance
STÉPHANE HUMBERT LUCAS GOD OF FIRE Extrait de Parfum
The Legend of Fire – The Olfactory Power of “God of Fire”
You stand at the threshold between light and shadow, between embers and dusk – wearing a fragrance that is more than a scent. God of Fire by Stéphane Humbert Lucas is a tribute to Xiuhtecuhtli, the Aztec god of fire, light, and life. A divine force that brings warmth, demands transformation, and gives rise to creation.
In ancient mythology, Xiuhtecuhtli is depicted as a turquoise serpent crowned with gemstones – a symbol of wisdom, power, and spiritual energy. These elements are echoed in God of Fire, a luxurious perfume that strikes a rare balance between energy and depth, freshness and flame.
The Scent Composition of GOD OF FIRE
The opening bursts with brightness: mango, lemon, pink berries, and ginger sparkle like sunlight across skin and spirit. This is not just a top note – it’s ignition.
The heart reveals the fragrance’s depth: blue coumarin, jasmine, and dry woods offer floral elegance wrapped in grounded clarity. It's like beams of light filtering through a dense jungle canopy.
At its base, the true power of fire: oud, nagarmotha, amber, and musk settle in with a rich, resonant warmth. This is a drydown that glows like embers – radiant, meditative, unforgettable.
Symbolism and Inspiration – The Elemental Force of Fire
God of Fire reflects the duality of flame itself: destruction and rebirth, wildness and stillness, danger and healing. You don’t just wear this perfume – you channel it. The mango represents vitality and golden abundance. The oud is its sacred core, primal and commanding. Together, they form an elemental dance that is both refined and unrelenting.
Like Xiuhtecuhtli, who brings light to the darkness and order to chaos, God of Fire does not follow trends. It sets its own rhythm – sharp, golden, and fearless.
STÉPHANE HUMBERT LUCAS – The Art of Haute Parfumerie
Founded in 2012, the Paris-based house STÉPHANE HUMBERT LUCAS was created with one vision: to redefine perfumery as a true art form.
Each fragrance begins as a blank canvas, where colors, textures, poetry and sound merge into an olfactive composition. Stéphane Humbert Lucas, a synesthete, artist, and perfumer, discovered his unique gift during his studies with a Flemish master in Southern France. His training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and work with sculptor Jean Cardot shaped his artistic philosophy.
The turning point came through master perfumer Henri Sorsana, who encouraged him to translate emotion into scent. Today, Lucas' creations are celebrated for their craftsmanship, emotion, and uncompromising originality.
Who is GOD OF FIRE made for?
For those who radiate without shouting. For you – if you move with quiet power and speak through presence rather than volume. This is a fragrance for charismatic souls, for those who prefer meaning over marketing, and resonance over repetition.
Whether as a signature scent or a rare treasure for special moments, God of Fire is more than fragrance. It is atmosphere. Aura. A statement without a word.
