Stephane Humbert Lucas, a synesthete and accomplished perfumer hailing from Paris, began his artistic journey as a painter and poet in the south of France. His exploration of painting under the guidance of a Flemish master introduced him to synesthesia, a phenomenon where visual stimuli concurrently evoke olfactory sensations. This revelation became the catalyst for his journey into crafting new and distinctive scents.

Further refining his art at the Beaux Arts in Paris under Jean Cardot's mentorship, Humbert Lucas stacked his canvases in a Parisian apartment before showcasing them in a captivating gallery near Beaubourg. Jean Cardot, a prominent 20th-century sculptor, imparted invaluable insights during his career at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

An encounter with renowned perfumer Henri Sorsana prompted Stephane to channel his artistic ambivalence through synesthesia, leading him to create intricate fragrances. Henri Sorsana, a discreet yet highly influential perfumer, contributed significantly to the world of fragrance with his sophisticated compositions.
