FANTOSMIA Eau de Parfum unfolds as a beguiling masterpiece that unites the essence of Mother Nature and the precision of artificial intelligence in a harmonious symphony. Like a bold pioneer on the path to unknown worlds of fragrances, FANTOSMIA is characterised by a revolutionary olfactory language that goes far beyond the conventional boundaries of fragrances and aromas.

It is a fragrance that embraces form, texture, surface, corporeality, the ethereal and the elusive; an expanded vocabulary of odours that explores their shape and the sensations they arouse. In its fluid form, FANTOSMIA transcends the boundaries of the material to reveal the hidden splendour of select natural substances and the immeasurable power of unlocked molecular knowledge. FANTOSMIA is part of the Selective Memory Collection, which retells a distorted memory of shared experiences, obscured and abstracted by time, through the medium of perfume.

For months, I was captivated by a bouquet of aromas so fleeting and elusive that they seemed to defy any physical source—a mystery of scents that remained intangible. This fragrance, an echo from the void, elicited a profound, instinctive reaction. I embarked on a desperate quest to uncover its origin, yet every trail ended in vain. These ghostly aromas, though individually recognizable and familiar, merged into a symphony that defied description, mystical and full of secrets.

The scent seemed to have a contour, yet lacked a solid form, its structure distorted and malleable, as if designed by nature itself in a spontaneous act of creative whim. I thought I perceived it everywhere – in the air I breathed, in the foods I tasted, searching for it in fabrics, perfumes, beverages... even in the people around me. I came close to grasping it, yet it always slipped through my fingers. And then, one day, the scent vanished as if it had never existed. Driven by the longing to immortalize this phantom scent, I set out to give it shape.

The completed perfume found its place in our home, perched on the mantelpiece, its spirit quietly diffusing through its loosely fitted cap. The fragrance, once a fleeting dream, had now taken on a form, a tangible testament to my imagined scent vision. FANTOSMIA evokes a sensation that is neither purely natural nor entirely artificial, but a fascinating encounter somewhere in between. In our endeavor to lend the scent a physical presence, we brought the phantom fragrance into material existence. It assumed a sculptural form, akin to obsidian, yet flowing and mobile like mercury.

Its shape was blurred, its surface rough, and in my imagination, it shared the thermodynamic properties of the metals surrounding it – cold to the touch, a proficient conductor of heat. The resulting perfume is both diffuse and ethereal, carrying an ink-like quality that oscillates between transparency and opacity."

The fragrance can be perfectly combined with Jorum Studio Phloem and Jorum Studio Trimerous.
