The perfumer behind MENTOR is Carlos Viñals, a master of his craft known for his playful yet meticulous approach to fragrance creation. His journey into the world of perfumery began in childhood, driven by an insatiable curiosity for the scents around him. This fascination led him to explore the origins of these scents and learn how to combine them to create something unique. Today, he channels his joy and vitality into his creations, crafting exciting fragrances that tell stories, evoke memories, and bring a smile to the face.

Carlos Viñals is a renowned perfumer known for his versatile and innovative fragrance creations. As the son of a respected aroma expert, he was introduced to the world of scents early, igniting his passion for perfumery.

His professional career began in 1985 as a perfumer trainee at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), where he trained under the guidance of Carlos Benaïm, one of the industry's leading perfumers.

After nearly a decade at IFF, Viñals joined Givaudan in 1994, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of flavors and fragrances, where he worked as a perfumer until 2004. In 2004, he joined Takasago as Senior Perfumer, continuing his career by developing numerous successful fragrances. In 2007, he was appointed Vice President and Perfumer for Fine Fragrance at Fragrance Resources. Since December 2009, Carlos Viñals has served as Vice President and Senior Perfumer at Symrise in New York, a leading company in the fragrance and flavor industry.
