To ensure that you can enjoy your fine scented candle for a long time, please observe the following tips:

When burning the candle for the first time, the surface of the candle must be completely melted. This process may take a little longer, especially the first time, but this will prevent the candle from burning inwards like a goblet. Please never leave your candle burning unattended and ensure that there is sufficient distance upwards and around the candle, as the flame could otherwise cause soot marks.

The distance to curtains should be at least 50 cm, to the ceiling at least 40 centimetres and if you place several candles together at least 12 to 15 cm.

The liquid wax layer should be a maximum of about one centimetre. When this amount of wax has liquefied, extinguish the candle and allow the wax to cool and solidify again. Shorten the wick of the candle to approx. 5mm before burning it again. This will reduce the formation of soot and create the best conditions for a steady flame. The total burning time should not exceed approx. 4 hours.

Paul Smith Botanist Scented Candle

The BOTANIST scented candle from the Paul Smith collection is inspired by the green vetiver scents that Paul used to perfume his first shop in Nottingham.

Smells like gardening on a clear, crisp day, peppery herbs and fresh citrus.

Perfumer: Meabh Mc Curtin

Hand-poured and blended with high quality ingredients, this scented candle is formulated to give off an exceptional fragrance. The wax is contained in a tinted glass jar with a contrasting lid that doubles as a coaster - an expression of Paul's love of colour and its endless combinations. After burning down, the jar can be used as a pen holder or flower pot, or perhaps for storing art supplies, toiletries, flowers or other small items?

The lid serves to cover the extinguished candle and can be used as a colourful accent and coaster during the burning time.

CAUTION: Only burn this candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Do not burn for more than four hours at a time. Shorten the wick to 5 mm. Discontinue use when 10 mm of wax remains or the wick disc becomes visible. Allow the wax to harden before moving. Be careful when extinguishing the flame. Place candles at least 10 cm apart and leave room for the flame.
