Behind the Fragrance

Thomas de Monaco - FUEGO FUTURO Extrait de Parfum

"Fuego Futuro Extrait by Thomas de Monaco is a powerful fragrance inspired by the infinite wilderness and schamanic rituals. This composition powerfully combines the elements of earth and fire. The top notes open with the unique, sparkling sparkle of timut pepper, complemented by mate and elemi. At the heart of FUEGO FUTURO, smoky salbei, hay and frankincense combine to create an earthy yet aromatic blend. The base notes of sandalwood, alaskazeder and ashes complete the fragrance, creating a deep, long-lasting impression.

FUEGO FUTURO by Thomas de Monaco is characterised by its extreme longevity and mystical aura. It is both modern and timeless, made with exquisite ingredients in Zurich, Switzerland. "Fuego Futuro is part of Thomas de Monaco's Extraits Uniques collection. Timut pepper, also known as Nepalese pepper or Timur pepper, belongs to the family of citrus plants and is botanically closely related to the famous Szechuan pepper. It originates from the region of Nepal, where it is traditionally used in cooking. The small, round peppercorns are known for their distinctive citrus flavour, reminiscent of grapefruit. This pepper brings a fresh, rapidly sparkling note that is often compared to grapefruit. In perfumery, it is used to add a vibrant, energetic and slightly spicy dimension to fragrances, creating a captivating olfactory landscape.

The "nose" oft Fuego Futuro Extrait is Maurus Bachmann. He is a renowned perfumer known for his structured and elegant approach. He works as senior perfumer for Luzi, a fragrance manufacturer in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland. Bachmann's ability to turn failure into success allows him to develop and refine fragrance compositions.

Maurus Bachmann's workplace, LUZI AG, is a family-run Swiss company founded in 1926 by Hermann Luzi. The company specialises in the development and production of unique fragrance compositions for fine perfumery. Since its acquisition by the Altenburger family in 1952, LUZI has been based in Dietlikon, near Zurich, and is renowned for its high quality and creative fragrance development. LUZI is also committed to environmental protection and sustainable practices.

The company emphasises its responsibility to protect natural resources and aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint. This commitment to sustainability is reflected in its production processes and in its recently opened modern headquarters in Switzerland, which incorporates innovative building technologies and advanced production facilities.
