He named this new species Cannabis indica to characterise its origin and unique properties. Cannabis indica is characterised by its shorter, bushier plants and broader leaves. It is known for its higher levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is responsible for its psychoactive effects. 

Lamarck recognised the intoxicating properties of the plant and documented its traditional use in the region, particularly in connection with religious and medical practices. This discovery contributed to the scientific recognition and classification of cannabis and laid the foundation for further botanical and pharmacological research. 

The AEDES PERFUMERY is the Mecca for perfume lovers and fragrance seekers in Manhattan, New York City. Robert Gerstner and Karl Bradl were among the first to recognise the differences between the industrial fragrance collection and the small and fine artisanal collections.
