Behind the Fragrance
Aedes de Venustas - CELLARIUS - Scented Candle
Perfumer Olivia Giacobetti's fragrance Aedes de Venustas - CELLARIUS is reminiscent of an ancient astronomical observatory. The warm scent of a metal telescope whose moving parts were lubricated with grease. Wooden shelves filled with books and leather seats with metal rivets complement the scent.
The room is filled with a venerable patina. Andreas Cellarius is the namesake of the Aedes de Venustas - CELLARIUS scented candle. Cellarius, who was born in Worms, lived in the 17th century, studied in Heidelberg and worked as the headmaster of a Latin school in Hoorn, Netherlands.
He was the author of Harmonia Macrocosmica, a richly illustrated celestial atlas published in 1660. In 2008, the asteroid 12618 Cellarius was named after him.
Only selected raw materials are used for Aedes de Venustas - CELLARIUS scented candles. Aedes de Venustas - CELLARIUS is presented in a plain, matt black glass and has an average burning time of 50 - 60 hours.
Please follow our instructions for use for scented candles.
