Flotholt serves as a ritual of hope in difficult times. Launched in 2022 on the occasion of Sigur Rós' world tour, Flotholt is aptly named after the Icelandic word for a round lifebuoy used to save people from drowning. This fresh yet mysterious fragrance is inspired by the boundless ocean, especially its cold, dark and wild expanse.

FLOTHOLT captures the essence of the sea, with notes of salty air, aged leather, burnt driftwood and a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of the infinite horizon line and a ray of light in the darkness. Each bottle is handmade in Iceland and wrapped in a cotton bandana illustrated by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir. This design reflects the elements of the fragrance and emphasises Fischersund's artistic philosophy

Fischersund is known for its handcrafted fragrances, which are developed and sold in its main shop in the centre of Reykjavík. The brand emphasises a holistic fragrance experience and combines art, music and scent in its creations.

Each fragrance is handmade and wrapped in a cotton cloth illustrated by Ingibjörg Birgisdottir. Made in Iceland.

The main shop of the FISCHERSUND manufactory is located at Fischersund 3 in the centre of Reykjavík. The building has an eventful history and used to serve as a bakery, among other things. Today it is characterised by its unique atmosphere. Wooden beams from old ships and an old organ case, which now serves as a ‘perfume organ’ to present the fragrances.

FISCHERSUND's fragrances are inspired by the pure and unique nature of Iceland. They are produced by hand in Reykjavík and packaged sustainably. High-quality Icelandic oils and wild-collected herbs are used.
