Behind the Fragrance
Pana Dora Sweden - XVI - Eau de Parfum
The 17th century witnessed the rise of opulent palaces that epitomized luxurious living, with one notable example being the Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm. This architectural masterpiece exemplifies beauty through its intricate details, such as grained marble columns and ornate paintings. Situated on the island of Lovön in Lake Mälaren, west of Stockholm city center, Drottningholm Castle stands as one of Sweden's impeccably preserved royal castles from the 17th century. It currently serves as the residence of the Swedish royal family and has earned UNESCO World Heritage Site status since 1991. Beyond its historical importance, Drottningholm is celebrated for its splendid architecture, magnificent gardens, and cultural legacy.
XVI pays homage to the aesthetic grandeur of Drottningholm in a distinctive manner. This fragrance artfully blends patchouli, precious woods and invigorating coriander, creating an olfactory journey that captures the nobility and enchantment of the palace. Nagarmotha, also known as Cypriol oil, imparts a rich, woody and earthy essence to Pana Dora's XVI fragrance, complemented by subtle hints of smoky leather notes. Nagarmotha is derived through distillation from the tuberous roots of nut grass (Cyperus scariosus).
Pana Dora's perfumes encapsulate every aspect and facet of life in Sweden, capturing the fragrances of trees, water, markets, restaurants, streets and forests. These olfactory narratives are elegantly presented in bottles adorned with a magnificent deer head, symbolizing the impressive and natural wildlife of Sweden. At Pana Dora, uniqueness is embodied in fragrances that prioritize quality and originality. Each perfume is an exclusive creation and every bottle narrates its own distinctive story.
