ARANCIA DI SICILIA by Perris Monte Carlo, Eau de Parfum
The bitter orange, also known as Orange Sanguinello, is a renowned citrus fruit native to Sicily. Cultivated on the slopes of Mount Etna, these fruits are distinguished by their vibrant red color and intricate, aromatic sweetness, resulting in exceptionally high-quality oil. Capua, a prominent Italian family-owned business and a leading producer of citrus essential oils since 1880, has perfected the art of extraction to capture the pure essence of this sweet orange. Using two distinct methods, Capua 1880 extracts the essence from the peel without contact with the fruit juice, preserving its integrity and aroma.
During the later stages of the growing season, the entire fruit is pressed, blending the oil from the peel with the juice. A specialized extractor separates the juice from the pulp and a centrifuge isolates the oil from the juice, yielding two distinctly different essential oils.
