Aétai Eau de Parfum by SOURCE ADAGE is a luxurious fragrance for women and men launched in 2021. The name ‘Aétai’, which comes from the Algonquin language, means ‘on both sides’ and reflects the harmonious balance between fresh flowers and warm, woody notes.

Heart notes: midday iris, jasmine sambac, clove
Base notes: ambergris, incense, sandalwood, patchouli
Aétai’ by SOURCE ADAGE begins with a bright and aromatic top note in which the freshness of rose geranium meets the flavours of violet, iris and pink pepper. The heart of the fragrance reveals floral elegance: midday iris and jasmine sambac lend the composition a seductive softness, while clove adds a subtle, spicy accent. The base notes bring warmth and depth with ambergris, which adds a slightly salty, animalic facet, while sandalwood and patchouli create an earthy, woody texture. Frankincense lends the fragrance a mystical, slightly smoky note and rounds it off.

As with all fragrances in the collection that are inspired by the region, SOURCE ADAGE has taken inspiration from the region when selecting the main notes. The complexity and nuances are achieved through a wide range of raw materials that support and emphasise the history of Aétai. Source Adage is an independent fragrance brand founded in 2015 in Hudson, New York, by creative directors Christopher Draghi and Robert Dobay. Before discovering their passion for fragrance and launching Source Adage, the two founders worked for years as creative directors and brand designers.
With the opening of a new perfume studio in Tuscany, SOURCE ADAGE moved its headquarters to Italy in 2024. The European launch began with three of the brand's eau de parfums under the motto ‘Born in New York. reMade in Italy’, with more to follow. SOURCE ADAGE's coveted room fragrances are also handcrafted in the new Tuscan perfume studio.
