It is instantly recognisable from grandfathers everywhere.

This is the scent of a fougère that has been through the fire and emerged stronger. I imagine the bottle was full, boiling in the extreme heat of the fire until the glass was black and cracked. After the embers had died down, it was pulled out from under the rubble. Clinging to it was the boiled resin of all that was fresh and inviting about the cologne. So you have the freshness of lime, the purity of lavender, the grace of rose, the invigoration of mint and the sweetness of vanilla, all blended into a refined, solid lump. 

BURNING BARBERSHOP by D.S. & Durga is a mesmerising eau de parfum that captures the atmosphere of a burnt down barbershop. Inspired by an actual fire at the Curling Bros. barbershop in Westlake, New York, in 1891, this fragrance combines classic barbershop aromas with smoky, burnt notes reminiscent of charred wood.

The fragrance opens with a fresh blend of spearmint, lime and hemlock, giving it a tangy and invigorating note. This opening transitions into a heart of lavender, tuberose and Turkish rose, which provides a floral depth. The base of the fragrance consists of burnt oil, vanilla and hay, which add a warm and earthy note, reminiscent of the remains of the burnt parlour.
