The melody of life resounded in my home, born from the deep blues roots of my father who found his home in Chicago. With nine summers on my shoulders, I was drawn to a camp on a remote island. There I crossed paths with cool, older punk kids who introduced me to the magical world of the Misfits and the Pixies. Among them was even the comedian Rob Delaney, an unexpected encounter at a young age.

That summer, Doolittle's music ruled. Their lyrics provocative, their melodies like the giggles of Frank Black, they permeated the sultry August air and filled every moment with an unforgettable intensity. It was a time of sensuality, of youthful romance, wrapped in the warm cloak of summer heat and humid August air. 

D.S. & Durga's DEBASER Eau de Parfum is a unique fragrance launched in 2015 and inspired by the music of the Pixies, in particular their song "Debaser". This fragrance is designed to capture the feeling of a hot summer day, accompanied by the music of Black Francis and the intense flavours of figs and other green notes.

The top note of DEBASER consists of bergamot, green leaves and pear stems, which give the fragrance a fresh and fruity opening. In the heart notes, fig, coconut milk and iris unfold, adding a creamy, sweet and floral depth. The base notes are blond woods, tonka bean and moss, which give the fragrance an earthy and slightly sweet foundation that lingers.

DEBASER is often compared to other fig fragrances such as "Philosykos" by Diptyque, but differs in its unique combinations and the addition of coconut milk, which gives it a special flavour. The fragrance is described as unisex and is particularly suitable for warm days, but can also be worn all year round. It has a moderate sillage, which makes it a good choice for everyday use.

Reactions to DEBASER are overwhelmingly positive, with many reviewers praising its freshness and versatility. Some note a metallic note that adds an interesting dimension to the fragrance. The fragrance has good longevity and remains perceptible on the skin for several hours.
