Fischersund No. 8 is a unisex fragrance created by the Icelandic family-owned company Fischersund. Inspired by the founders' childhood memories of Mosfellssveit, a small village near Reykjavík, this fragrance captures the essence of carefree days in nature. It combines fresh, floral notes with a hint of rhubarb, citrus and crisp pine.

Mosfellssveit is a historic region in the south-west of Iceland, most of which now belongs to the municipality of Mosfellsbær. The region is located about 12 kilometres east of the capital Reykjavík. Mosfellsbær, often referred to as ‘The Green City’, is known for its rich vegetation and numerous greenhouses. The landscape of Mosfellssveit is characterised by a diverse ecology that includes coastal, river and highland areas. This diversity makes the region an interesting place for archaeological and historical studies.

This fragrance evokes images of new sneakers crushing plant stems on hot asphalt, the flavour of lemon candy and sticky fingers of sweet lubricating oil. It brings to mind stolen rhubarb coated in honey and chewed, and orange cake crumbs in freshly laundered clothes. A cold wind blows through the hair in a damp pine forest.

Each bottle is handmade in Iceland and wrapped in a cotton bandana illustrated by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir. Fischersund attaches great importance to sustainability and uses high-quality, environmentally friendly essential oils.
