Behind the Fragrance
Jasmin de Pay by Perris Monte Carlo, Eau de Parfum 100 ml
JASMIN DE PAYS is a French term meaning "jasmine of the land", referring to a specific variety of jasmine cultivated in a particular country or region. Typically, it denotes native or traditional jasmine varieties known for their quality and fragrance. This jasmine variety emits an intense floral aroma with sweet, warm and slightly spicy undertones.
Jean-Claude Ellena reminisces about his childhood, recalling moments with a jasmine flower delicately held between his fingers. This flower, as fragile as porcelain, symbolizes the inception, the first glimpse of his destiny. During harvests, the scent of jasmine, ever-changing, dominated the air, evolving with each passing hour.
"Nature", Jean-Claude explains today, "showed me back then that a perfume can be composed and disassembled by varying the effect. But in its essence it always remains unique and timeless." This is the JASMIN DE PAYS - the scent of memory and a homage to the fragrant land of Provence.
"At dawn, the white flowers of jasmine smell green and intoxicating. At midday they exude a warm orange blossom scent. At night, the overlooked flowers exude a deep, animalic scent. Admiring this natural wonder inspired me to create the perfume in a different way and way. I wanted to play with the elements and change the effect to make it unique and unforgettable as JASMIN DE PAYS." - Jean Claude Ellena
