Bel Sole is an exclusive unisex fragrance from the Portofino collection by Perris, launched in 2023. The name ‘Bel Sole’ means ‘beautiful sun’ in Italian and reflects the perfume's inspiration: the radiant sun and the lively atmosphere of the Italian Riviera.

The top note opens with a sparkling blend of bergamot and grapefruit, complemented by the spicy warmth of cardamom and the woody depth of cedar. At the heart, fresh ginger, tangy lime and aromatic juniper berry combine to create a lively accord. The base notes of cashmeran, cedarwood, musk and salty nuances lend the fragrance a long-lasting, warm and slightly maritime depth.

Bel Sole was created by the renowned perfumer Luca Maffei, who is known for his ability to create complex and balanced fragrance profiles. With Bel Sole, he succeeds in olfactorising the warmth and vibrancy of a sunny day on the Portofino coast. The fragrance is suitable for both men and women and is especially designed for those who appreciate fresh, citrusy yet elegant perfumes;

Luca Maffei is an Italian perfumer known for his niche fragrance creations. Born into a family deeply rooted in the world of fragrances, he developed an early fascination for the secrets of perfumery. He began his professional career after studying classics and economics and initially worked in the family company. Maffei developed his skills in various international contexts, including in Germany and New York, before joining the Symrise family and finally returning to Paris after 15 years abroad.

In 2011, he and his father founded Atelier Fragranze Milano, a company specialising in the creation of exclusive fragrances. Maffei has created numerous fragrances for renowned brands such as Masque Milano, Laboratorio Olfattivo, Nobile 1942 and others and is considered one of the most promising young creatives in the Italian perfume industry. He has received several awards, including the Art and Olfaction Award.

Luca Maffei emphasises that niche perfumery gives him the freedom to take risks and develop creative fragrances that reflect both the beauty of the ingredients and the cultural influences that inspire him. His work is often seen as a modern interpretation of traditional Italian perfumery, characterised by a deep understanding of balance and harmony of fragrance components.
