Luca Maffei is an Italian perfumer known for his creations in niche perfumery. Born into a family deeply rooted in the world of fragrances, he developed an early fascination for the secrets of perfume making.

He began his professional career after studying classics and economics, initially working in the family company. Luca Maffei developed his skills in various international contexts, including Germany and New York, before joining the Symrise family and finally returning to Paris after 15 years abroad.

In 2011, he and his father founded Atelier Fragranze Milano, a company specializing in the creation of exclusive fragrances. Luca Maffei has created numerous fragrances for renowned brands such as Masque Milano, Laboratorio Olfattivo, Nobile 1942 and others and is considered one of the most promising young creatives in the Italian perfume industry. He has received several awards, including the Art and Olfaction Award.

Luca Maffei emphasizes that niche perfumery gives him the freedom to take risks and develop creative fragrances that reflect both the beauty of the ingredients and the cultural influences that inspire him. His work is often seen as a modern interpretation of traditional Italian perfumery, characterized by a deep understanding of balance and harmony of fragrance components.
